In a world of white work trucks, William Earl’s red truck stood out, but his generic business cards weren’t doing him justice. I wanted to create a digital logo that built consistency between his truck lettering and his business cards, shirts, signage, and ads. These hi-gloss cards are attention-getters, bright and clean like a freshly painted wall.
When sketching thumbnails, I looked for a new way to say “house painting” while reflecting the owner's dynamic personality and love of music.
After presenting logo comps like this one, I developed the final selection into a high-res digital file, and used that to design business cards, a display ad, and scalable art for shirts and signs.
