The Maritime Foundation is growing, and they needed a web site to reflect that. They are also multi-faceted, overseeing a museum, boat shop, boat sales, youth activites, and lectures. I tackled organizing their content for ease of use, as well as, ease of maintenance because the content changes fairly often. I also implemented requested features like a calendar, online membership renewal, and online gift shop.
Nowadays, I've optimized the site for mobile viewing, and streamlined the content further, so that the most requested items are available right away.
Each year I get to create a calendar that raises funds for this non-profit organization. Comprised of old photos and stories from local families, the design must always reflect the foundation's mission: to preserve, present, and participate in the maritime and cultural heritage of Mathews County; portraying life on the Chesapeake Bay.
The Maritime Foundation often needs ads created, including this one which runs quarterly, inviting visitors to stop in and visit while they're in town.
